  • B&J's Restaurant and Ice Cream: Handy location and great north woods decor, this eating stop has home cooked meals, fresh baking and cool deserts. Owners Bill & Joann Woods have made this place a regular spot for the locals, and that should tell you something. Call 705-282-0001.
  • The Cod Mothers: Opened in the summer of 2016, this is the place to get old fashioned fish and chips, great burgers, savoury salads and more. Located right behind Loco Beanz, the meat pies are exceptionally tasty. Call 705-282-1212 for details.
  • Island Goods: This is the spot to get a quick, delicious, healthy meal or to stock up on organic and local goods. Owned and operated by Kris LeBlanc, a woman who is known for her great cooking. Kris's vegetarian meals are particularly delicious. Call 705-282-0763.

  • Loco Beanz: This is Gore Bay's version of Starbucks, but better. More than just great coffee, tea and sweet snacks, energetic owner Leeann Bell offers homemade sandwiches, soups, paninies and other delicious light meals. She's also an expert at making everyone feel welcome. She'll probably call you "sweetie" a few minutes after meeting you.   • Twin Bluffs Bar & Grill: Located near the centre of town, this Gore Bay mainstay serves hamburgers, fries, full meals of all kinds and is licensed to serve beer, wine and liquor. Named after the east and west bluffs that flank the harbour, Cheryl Deeg and her team would be happy to welcome you. If it's the busy season, call 705-282-2000 to make sure they have room for you.
